"Sunset in Taourirt" was inspired by visions I've had of magnificent Moroccan sunsets, bathing the rugged desert terrain in a warm, golden glow. In my mind's eye I see the ochre cliffs rising from red sands, the sky melting into vibrant hues of tangerine and apricot. I try to convey the magic and nostalgia of a bygone place and time. Though I was not alive to experience the romance of interwar Morocco firsthand, through my art I aim to bring a sense of that era and setting to life. Dreaming transports me there, at least for a little while each day.
